Frank Reick
President, Fluoramics, Inc.

Tufoil is the brain-child of Frank Reick, the founder and president of Fluoramics, Inc.

After receiving his degree in Industrial Engineering from Syracuse University, Frank provided technical expertise to companies like General Electric, Diversified Technologies and ITT. He also served as technical consultant to a variety of high-tech companies.

In 1966, he founded Fluoramics, Inc. to manufacture and distribute his patented, state-of-the art industrial lubricants.




Inventor at Heart.

Frank Reick has an inventive mind. No matter where he goes, he’s always brain-storming!

In early 1980, Frank (an experienced pilot) was flying above the Hudson River. Looking down, he noticed all the smog and gas emissions emanating from the cars in the city below. He decided then and there that he was going to “have to do something about it”.

The experience sparked an idea for a cleaner atmosphere, which led to the invention of Tufoil.

Frank applied his knowledge of teflon based lubricants towards creating an oil additive to make car engines run smoothly and efficiently. It took ten years of work to get it right –  the results were astounding.

In 1996, Tufoil was listed in the Guinness Book of World Records as “The World’s Most Efficient Lubricant”. To date, no one has broken this record.

Frank Reick is a member of the Society of Automotive Engineers, American Society of Lubrication Engineers and the New York Academy of Sciences.

In 1998 he was inducted into the Inventor’s Hall of Fame at NJIT University. That same year, Frank was a finalist for INC Magazine’s “Entrepreneur of the Year”.

Located in Mahwah New Jersey, Fluoramics has been engineering high quality lubricants, greases and oxygen compatible thread sealants since 1967.
